SEM General Meeting

This coming wednesday 2nd Sept, there will be a general meeting for all SEM members. We will do some review on what we have seen from Singapore Team, NUS Eco car and NTU solar car.

We will also discuss some of our upcoming project execution and strategy.

All team member are encouraged to attend the meeting at MEK 2 , 5pm.

This meeting will be held by Shariman, Team Manager USM Gen 1.

SEM Driver Test Drive

Dear all SEM driver candidates,

We will do a driver test drive on 29th August 2009 Saturday.

All candidates please attend the test drive at Foyer of the school of Mechanical Engineering, starting 9am.

Shell Eco Marathon Team USM

Shell Eco Marathon is a famous competition of students design, build and race their with their regional counterparts.

For more than 20 years, Shell Eco Marathon has been held annually and this competition brings all creative young students together in a platform learning how to save fuel with their idea while competiting with each other.

Shell Eco Marathon Europe has been incepted long ago and it continuously gaining students participation. Shell Eco Marathon America started in the year of 2007. While for the first time Shell Eco Marathon Asia will be held in Malaysia for the first 3 years starting in 2010.

How far Team USM car can go in one liter of fuel, how you can contribute for the Team.

SEM Driver Recruitment

Shell Eco Marathon (SEM) Team USM is going to recruit drivers for Shell Eco Marathon Asia Race in Sepang Next Year. We will shorlist 6 drivers as the potential candidates for SEM.

Drivers are expected to drive the car in a very good fuel economy way (eg engine on/off, less braking, smooth driving, obey instructions, average speed 40km/h)

Basic requirement:

Body Mass--45-55 kg (preferred)
Able to communicate in English
Hold a valid driving license

USM SEM General Meeting

The General Meeting for Shell Eco Marathon Asia is rescheduled to 12th August 2009, 5pm at MEK2.

All interested students especially Year 2 students are welcomed to attend the meeting for group sign ups and one month try outs.
